Ashley McCusker, Family Services Coordinator
Creating joy and memorable experiences for families staying at RMHC-Denver.
“I love the mission of Ronald McDonald House and being able to provide a space
where families can connect and step away from their daily medical stresses.”
Q: It’s great to talk with you, Ashley. Tell us about your role at RMHC-Denver.
A: I have the fun job!! I provide fun experiences for families at both the Denver and Aurora House. I get to give away toys and tickets, organize activities and connect families with helpful resources.
Q: How long have you worked at RMHC-Denver? Have you held other positions in the organization?
A:It will be 3 years this January. My first connection to Ronald McDonald House was actually in college when I was an ADPi we would donate and cook meals at the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City.
Q: What do you like to do for fun or hobbies?
A: Anything outdoors, checking out new breweries and restaurants, traveling and visiting family. A highlight this summer was seeing the Savanah Bananas!
Q: What is something you’d like others to know about you?
A:I grew up in Marion, Iowa, and 13 years ago I moved to Colorado for an internship—despite never having been here before. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
