Q: Tell us about your role at RMHC-Denver. What does your day-to-day work involve and how does your role help support families and our mission?
A: I manage our Family Services team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our facility. Essentially, my job is to make sure the house runs efficiently and feels welcoming. On any given day, I might be supporting our staff, coordinating building maintenance and service needs, ordering hospitality supplies or organizing community donations. It’s a dynamic, ‘jack-of-all-trades’ role where no two days are exactly alike, but the goal is always to keep things running smoothly for the families we serve.
Q: How long have you been part of the RMHC-Denver team? What first brought you here?
A: This upcoming July, I am celebrating a major milestone: 18 years with this incredible organization! I originally started out as a volunteer. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—from Overnight Manager and Assistant House Manager to Guest Service Associate. I ultimately landed as the Denver Programs House Manager. It has been an honor to grow alongside this organization and support our community for nearly two decades.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: In my free time, you’ll often find me on the golf course—I’m still working on my swing or heading up to Black Hawk to try my luck. I’m also a fan of the ‘thrill of the hunt’ when it comes to finding a great deal at local shops. To wind down, there’s nothing I enjoy more than sitting on my patio to soak up the sun or taking a peaceful walk around the lake near my home.
Q: What’s something you’d like others to know about you?
A: I grew up in Indiana so ever since I moved to Colorado in 2006 I have really enjoyed viewing the mountains, I still can’t get enough of the view.
