Leave a Legacy of Compassion

Include a gift to RMHC-Denver in your Will or Estate Plans

FamilyRoomSign1

Many people have chosen to leave a legacy gift to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver.  These planned gifts ensure that RMHC-Denver can continue to serve families with seriously ill children far into the future.

Making a legacy gift is simple, and can be accomplished in many ways. Sometimes, people choose to name RMHC-Denver as the beneficiary on a retirement plan account or a life insurance policy.

More often, people remember our organization when they are writing or updating their wills, and include legacy gifts referred to as bequests. A bequest can include gifts of cash, securities, retirement plan accounts, life insurance policies, and even real estate. No matter what they choose to give, donors  outline their intentions in their wills, and provide for loved ones first, then for causes and organizations that were important during their lifetimes.

There are many benefits to providing a planned gift through your will:

Bequests may be tax-wise, as a charitable gift through your estate may reduce estate taxes. These gifts are flexible, as you may change your will’s provisions at any time. And bequests allow you to retain your assets throughout your lifetime … but to leave a legacy of caring and compassion, often in an amount that would have been unaffordable during your lifetime.

If you would like to include a legacy gift to RMHC-Denver in your will, here is some sample language:

I bequeath to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver Inc., a 501 (c) 3 corporation (federal tax ID #84-0728926) the sum of $_______________ .

OR

I bequeath to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver Inc., a 501 (c) 3 corporation (federal tax ID #84-0728926) _____ percent of my estate.

OR

I bequeath to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver Inc., a 501 (c) 3 corporation (federal tax ID #84-0728926) the remainder of my estate after all other beneficiaries are provided for.

Letting us know that you have taken the generous step to include RMHC-Denver in your will or estate plans is up to you – but we always appreciate knowing, because we love being able to express our gratitude.
