For the past two and a half years, Brady has been a dedicated volunteer at the Ronald McDonald Family Room inside HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children’s hospital. He discovered the opportunity through a family friend who works at the hospital and knew it would be a great fit for a young person eager to help others. Now, after just finishing his junior year of high school, Brady says it’s such a rewarding experience.
“The Family Room is such a great space,” he shared. “Families come in overwhelmed or exhausted, and sometimes all it takes is a snack, a moment to rest, or watching TV for a few minutes and you can see their whole demeanor change.”
Motivated to do even more, Brady recently launched a personal fundraiser to support Ronald McDonald House of Denver. He worked with our development team to set up a fundraising page, then sent personalized emails to friends and family. Starting with a template and tailoring each message to the recipient, Brady’s thoughtful approach helped him reach his goal of raising $1,000.
“Brady is always looking for ways to pitch in,” said Jordan, our Family Room Coordinator. “He’s kind, motivated and truly a joy to be around. Families appreciate him, and so do we.”
Brady’s generosity has even inspired his family and now his younger sister volunteers in the Family Room, too.
Brady’s story shows how even small gestures—a warm welcome, a kind word, a snack—can have a big impact. Whether it’s offering a break in the Family Room or rallying his community to raise funds, Brady brings heart and purpose to everything he does.
