Group Volunteer Opportunities

Three great ways to provide a meal for families

We offer three ways for volunteers to help provide meals for our guest families: providing a Do-It-Yourself Breakfast, participating in our Dinner from Scratch program, or joining a Chef-Led Experience. These options allow volunteers to make a meaningful impact while ensuring families enjoy a variety of balanced and nutritious meals. Whether you prefer to take the lead or work alongside our Chef Team for guidance, your contribution helps ease the burden on families and gives them more time together during a challenging time.

Consider becoming a recurring meal volunteer by committing to provide one meal each month—your ongoing support makes an incredible difference for families in need.

DIY Breakfasts

Our Do-It-Yourself Breakfast program is a great opportunity to help families staying with us. You bring the ingredients, and we provide the kitchen space and all the tools you’ll need to prepare, serve and clean-up. It’s a simple and impactful way to contribute while making sure our families have a nourishing start to their day. This program is perfect for corporate groups looking to volunteer during the workday or for friends and family who want to come together on weekends.

By volunteering for this program, you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact while keeping things simple and fun. Whether you’re serving a hearty breakfast or a delicious brunch, this initiative offers an easy and rewarding way to support families at RMHC-Denver as they navigate challenging times.

Dinners from Scratch

Support families through our Dinners from Scratch, perfect for groups of up to 10 people. Your group can rely on the expertise of our Culinary Managers to help you prepare a delicious, nutritious and comforting dinner for families. While not a formal cooking lesson like our Chef-Led Meals, the Culinary Managers make the process simple and stress-free.

From providing menus and accompanying grocery lists to consulting during meal prep and service, our Culinary Managers partner with volunteers to guide the process, ensuring the experience is both meaningful and enjoyable while providing families with diverse and nutritious meals. This program offers an affordable and impactful way for teams, families and friends to come together and give back, with most meals costing around $300.

Chef-Led Experiences

Try our Chef-Led Initiative for an enriching culinary experience, ideal for groups of 3-8 people. With a tax-deductible donation of $500, you’ll have the opportunity to provide an excellent meal for families without the worries of planning or grocery shopping. Chef Torie or Chef Pete will lead your group through the process of preparing, cooking and serving an elevated dinner.

Throughout the evening, you’ll receive a personalized cooking lesson, gaining hands-on experience while learning new skills and techniques from our talented chefs. This program offers a fantastic opportunity to bond as a team and make a significant impact, all while honing your culinary skills under the guidance of our experienced chefs.

Make a Difference for Families & Children

Parents don’t know when their children will need medical help far from home. But they should know they can always access the care they need. And with your help, we can support them all throughout their journey.
