A HOME FOR THE KANODE FAMILY
When Gladys and Casey learned their son, Forest, would need specialized care beyond what was available in Montana, they made the difficult decision to travel to Denver just weeks before his birth. During that time, Ronald McDonald House‑Denver became a warm, supportive home where they could rest, recover and be close to Forest through every fragile moment. Nearly nine years later, the Kanode family returned to visit, this time with a thriving, adventurous boy who skis, hikes, roller skates and embraces every challenge with joy. A HEART FOR MIKEY
When the Konrath family learned that their newborn son, Mikey, had serious heart issues, they knew a long hospital journey lay ahead. At just two weeks old, Mikey underwent his first surgery but complications led to critical life support and the urgent need for a heart transplant. In the midst of their fear and uncertainty, the Konrath’s found strength and support through Ronald McDonald House-Denver. The Aurora House became a place of comfort, allowing them to stay close to Mikey during every step of his medical journey. MIGHTY AMOS
Sarah and Jake were thrilled to learn they were expecting shortly after marrying, starting their journey with Amos. At 27 weeks, Sarah was admitted to the hospital, and Amos was born prematurely at 29 weeks, weighing only one pound, three ounces. He required surgery on his first day. Needing a place to stay close to the hospital, Ronald McDonald House-Denver came highly recommended. With a baby in the NICU, staying within walking distance allowed them to spend as much time as possible with their sweet baby boy.
BRINGING JOY TO FAMILIES
